FatallyFlawed was founded by two professional engineers: Peter M Munro CEng MIET and David Peacock IEng FIET
We are from different parts of the country and came together in an attempt to raise awareness after we had each encountered the use of “safety socket covers” in our respective churches. As engineers we were horrified to realise that ignorance of actual electrical safety was leading to parents and carers making flawed decisions in what they thought was the best interests of children in their care.
Patron: Dr Adam Hart-Davis, author and broadcaster. Dr Hart-Davis has received many honours, of particular relevance is that he was the first recipient of The Public Promotion of Engineering Medal awarded by the Royal Academy of Engineering for his work in bringing an understanding of engineering to a wider public.
Dr Johnny Ball, the man who taught generations of children to count. Johnny was the 2007 recipient of The Public Promotion of Engineering Medal. He is a prolific broadcaster and author and has won everything from a BAFTA and an Emmy nomination to numerous honorary doctorates.
